2024 NYC Export Mission

SUMMARY

Our first NYC Export Mission consisted of a series of events and receptions in New York, USA, from March 4-6, 2024. We brought 15 Canadian artist managers and self-managed artists together with New York City industry professionals for curated B2B meetings, networking, and authentic connections. The delegates met up for for mix and mingle opportunities, forging new relationships and avenues for themselves and their artists including:

Meeting and presentation at Google / YouTube offices, as well as a lunch at Google’s Esplanade Cafe
‘Sync Talk’ conversation with Erica Grayson, an award-winning music supervisor
Networking at the MMF-US NY Chapter Winter Mixer
Group visit to Spotify offices in Manhattan and to the Recording Academy to learn more about their work including the GRAMMYS
B2B meetings with several esteemed US professionals working in the music industry, curated by our friends at Music Managers Forum - US, and held at the Consulate General of Canada in New York.
Panel discussions, parties, and showcases at the New Colossus Festival, provided by the Consulate General.
