MMF CANADA COMMITTEES

Committees support the work of the MMF Canada Board. They are repopulated every year after the board elections and are open to MMF Canada members who wish to volunteer their time to support the organization.

If you are interested in being considered for a 2024/2025 committee, fill out the form on the member portal by November 25, 2024.

You can access the form in the member portal Forms menu and from the dashboard.

Advocacy Committee

Elise Roller (chair), Jermayne Clayton, Matt Maw, Mira Silvers, Savannah Wellman

Helps prioritize advocacy campaigns for MMF Canada to become involved with and/or to create and lead. Also helps determine the MMF Canada stance on relevant issues as they arise . Meets and/or provides feedback as required by staff.

Anti-racism and Equity Committee

Jermayne Clayton (chair), Savannah Wellman

Creates policies and provides insights and ideas for initiatives and potential partners to help MMF Canada build a more just and equitable industry and organization. Meets periodically to monitor and/or support implementation of initiatives.

member relations committee

Laurie Lee Boutet (chair), Matt Maw, Jill Snell, Jenn Sookdeo

Supports staff in monitoring membership growth as well as demographic and geographic diversity, sharing insights and helping to set growth targets. Brainstorms suggested initiatives and partners to help staff meet targets. May also be called on to review membership structure, fees, benefits, or provide other membership related support to staff. Meets quarterly to review membership growth and as required to provide insight on other membership aspects.

Strategic Planning Committee (*board members only)

Jill Snell (chair), Savannah Wellman, Leela Gilday

Ensures the organization has a strategic plan, working with staff to line up consultants and board-wide sessions to create a new plan or plan refresh when needed. Also meets quarterly to monitor progress suggesting adjustments, as necessary.
