Francine Gorman
Consultant, Strategist and Event Producer

Francine Gorman is a music consultant, content/event producer, strategist and editor, based in London, England. Having trained as a music journalist at Paris-based music and culture magazine Les Inrockuptibles, Francine headed to London in 2011 to become the Features Editor of new music website The Line of Best Fit, going on to join music video platform Vevo as a their French Content Manager in 2012.

Parallel to these two roles, Francine also became the Editor of new Nordic music platform Ja Ja Ja and a booker for their monthly club nights in London and Berlin. Expanding her role in the Nordic music scene, Francine become the overall Project Manager of the Ja Ja Ja live series and the Editor of the Nordic Playlist platform in 2013 and has been working with the Nordic Music Export (NOMEX) ever since. 

Alongside her activities with NOMEX, Francine is the Pledge Coordinator for the international gender equality campaign Keychange, and holds the role of Nordic & Baltic Editor for streaming service Deezer. Francine established her own company Bad Rituals Ltd. in 2017, through which she operates her consultancy and production projects.

 Throughout her career, Francine has been a dedicated champion of new and emerging music, appearing in this capacity as a guest speaker on BBC Radio 1 (UK), KEXP (US) and Sveriges Radio (Sweden) among many others.

She is an activist for gender equality in the music industry and an advocacy strategist, having spoken at events such as by:Larm (Norway), SXSW (US), Iceland Airwaves (Iceland), The Great Escape (UK), MaMA Conference (France) and Reeperbahn Festival (Germany) addressing topics including representation, issues facing the live industry, the impact of streaming services, as well as offering strategic advice for artists looking to work in new territories.

 
Vikram Gudi, Founder, Elephant Music

 Elephant Music is a 360 music composition company and consultancy. They have over 20 composers, ranging from full on orchestral to minimal electronica. They have composed music for Axe, Samsung, Head & Shoulders and Asics in the past year alone and also compose music for Hollywood film trailers, most recently 'A Place Beyond the Pines' and 'The Railway Man'. Elephant Music also contains a catalogue of hand picked 'buzz bands' from around the world. They had Django Django & Crystal Fighters before they were famous. Their A&R team scout from the emerging underground scenes in London, Toronto, Berlin and LA.

Elephant Music was founded by Vikram Gudi in 2011. Vikram has a deep knowledge of classical music publishing having worked for Boosey & Hawkes. There, he worked with the catalogues of Steve Reich, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Copland and Charles Mingus. Vikram was also sync manager at Imagem, working with the catalogues of MIA, Vampire Weekend, Phil Collins and Daft Punk. He placed music on Sky, Nike, Adidas, Samsung, Honda, Alfa Romeo, De Beers, Shell and many more.

Elephant Music currently has a global network of reps and supervisors as well as in-house deals with leading TV networks and agencies. 

 
Anika Mottershaw, Bella Union 

 Anika Mottershaw is the A&R and Project Manager at Bella Union where she has worked for the past eleven years. Anika started at Bella Union after moving to London, dropping out from university and meeting label founder Simon Raymonde at the gigs she was going to. Not long after this, Anika became Label Assistant, signing her first artist in 2012. She now works as A&R and is project manager for about half of the roster, working closely with the Bella Union artists. Outside of the label Anika is a huge fan of literature and film, and loves to get involved in creative endeavours as often as possible.


Ben Wynters, Founder, Unstoppable Music Group
Outreach Manager, Association of Independent Music  

Ben Wynter is a UK based music and media executive with twenty years of experience in the music industry, including roles in management, Major and Independent Record Labels. He is founder of Unstoppable Music Group, a group of companies consisting of Management, Production, Record Label and Marketing. 

At the PRS Foundation he created and launched the Hitmaker Fund, to support behind the scenes songwriters and producers with grant funding as well as the Future Hitmaker grant, and Momentum Accelerator grant. Wynter now works with A.I.M (Association of Independent Music) as Entrepreneur & Outreach Manager where he helps music entrepreneurs and rights holders to navigate the music and media ecosystem to maximise the potential in the rights that they own.

Wynter is Co-Founder of Power Up! -  an initiative to end anti-black racism and create a fairer and more equitable music industry in the UK.
