How has the pandemic and Brexit changed the touring landscape for Canadian or Canada-based artists who are ready to enter the UK market? This panel will include industry experts who will provide deep insights regarding bureaucracy and new challenges that are presented by Brexit and COVID for touring in the UK.

Panel will include key stakeholders from across the live music industry and will be announced shortly.

Alain Kassi, Live Agent (Midnight Mango)
Al has been in the business since the mid nineties. He was the exclusive UK agent for Toots and the Maytals since the year 2000 to 2020 and over the years has negotiated tours for many acts from Latin America and Africa for whom negotiating as successful tour can be complicated. Through these experiences Al accumulated expansive knowledge of the requirements for touring bands in the UK . He is currently a freelance agent for his own roster at Midnight Mango and keeps up to date with the fast moving developments in the UK caused by Brexit and COVID.

Nathalie Von Rotz, The Great Escape Festival (Event Manager)
After joining The Great Escape team in 2015 as Bookings Assistant, Nathalie was quickly promoted to the role of Event Executive a year later, where she managed all of The Great Escape’s international and UK based trade partnerships with the most important building blocks of the music industry - including Sentric, PRS For Music, Sounds Australia, CIMA, SESAC, DITTO or the Association of Independent Music (AIM). She oversaw the running of The Alternative Escape. Nathalie took on the role of Event Manager and began overseeing the overall event in August 2019.

Keith Wyatt, UV Clean Light / Enki Future Venues (Infection Control Specialist)
Keith Wyatt has over 30 years of experience in infrastructure, environmental, energy efficiency and infection control projects. He has been responsible for designing and implementing some of the largest industrial energy efficiency lighting projects in the UK.

 He has supported organizations with infection control solutions and policies from the Healthcare, Education, Live Venues, Retail and Manufacturing Industries throughout the pandemic. One key focus of this has been using UV-C sterilization.

Keith's background is also in music over many decades and is involved in the support of the independent music scene. He is the co-creator and co-host of the "I Wish I Wrote That Song" podcast with UK Producer David Glover.
