Represent MMF Canada on the Advance Board of Directors

MMF Canada is looking for a manager to represent the interests of managers as a director on the board of Advance.

Advance is Canada’s Black music business collective and is focused on diversifying the music industry when it comes to the music business - i.e. organizations, companies, venues, booking agents etc. Their mandate is to create meaningful, sustainable, permanent change within the music industry.

The ideal candidate:

  • identifies as Black

  • has Board experience

  • is based outside of Ontario or Quebec

  • Understands Advance’s members/stakeholders

  • Will add valuable insight from the perspective of a Canadian music manager

Expectations:

  • Attend biweekly Advance Board meetings which will shortly change to once a month

  • Sit as a member of the MMF Canada Advocacy committee, attending committee meetings as well as providing at least quarterly updates to be included in committee progress reports to the MMF Canada Board.
