Mike Denney - MDM Recordings Inc.
A fervent champion of the Canadian music industry, Mike Denney is ever keen to share his expertise, creativity and knowledge with the award winning artists he proudly works with, and to the industry as a whole.
Denney founded MDM Recordings Inc. in 2008, and the multi-award winning full service independent label and management company boasts an impressive country music roster that includes platinum-selling, JUNO and CCMA Award winning artists. Since its inception, MDM has earned multiple distinctions at the CCMA Awards for ‘Record Company of the Year’ a 2021 win for ‘Management Company of the Year’, and individually, Denney is currently a three-time Record Company Person of the Year Award winner and was named Industry Person of the Year in 2020.
Denney previously served on the boards of both the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA), and in 2017 relaunched the acronym Records label alongside managing partner Tony Tarleton.
In 2022, Denney launched the Henry Armstrong Award, an annual bursary and mentorship program created to develop, elevate, and support the diverse talents in the Canadian Indigenous music community.
