Being an artist manager can be a bit like acting as business manager, lead strategist, creative director and therapist all in one. As managers navigate their artists’ career, they must also look to their own professional trajectory and be aware of the best practices for artist management agreements to help protect their valuable work. In this panel discussion, we will look at the following:
How do artists and managers connect and find each other in the first place? When is it appropriate to start creating an agreement to work together?
What are some of the key elements within an artist management agreement? What are some things an artist should be looking out for? What are some things a manager should be looking out for?
