William Helms is a Freelance Journalist and Photographer who has specialized in music and nightlife-related topics and is the founder of the international music and photography blog, The Joy of Violent Movement. He is also an experienced publishing professional with experience in trade and academic publishing.
Dalton Higgins - Publicist, Journalist & Author
Dalton Higgins is a publicist, author of six books, award-winning journalist, and Toronto Metropolitan University’s Music-Professional-in-Residence. Higgins’ publicity roster includes clients that have won a wide range of Awards including: Grammy Awards (USA), BET Awards (USA), Emmy Awards (USA), The Mercury Prize (UK), Victoires de la Musique/French Grammy’s (France), Juno Awards (Canada), in addition to Grammy (USA), Grammis/Swedish Grammy’s (Sweden), and Polaris Music Prize (Canada) nominees. His book Far from Over: The Music and Life of Drake is carried in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame & Museum collection in Cleveland, and his best-selling Hip Hop World book is carried in Harvard University’s hip hop archive. Higgins is a former music booker for Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre and has co-produced and co-hosted popular podcasts for media outlets ranging from the CBC (This Is Not a Drake podcast) and Rogers Media (Black Tea). Higgins teaches the university course “Deconstructing Drake and The Weeknd” that has been featured on CNN, New York Times, NPR, BET, Hypebeast, NME, GRM Daily and 6ixBuzz among many other media outlets.
