POSTPONED - MMF Canada Community Chat: Inclusion & How to Get There

We have received feedback that indicates there is a more urgent conversation needed, a conversation about racism and systemic discrimination, one that must include Black voices and input.

We are postponing this Inclusion session. We are taking some time to do internal anti-racism work including seeking viewpoints outside of our current community in order to develop purposeful and proactive steps to take with our programming as well as with our organization overall.

Thank you to everyone who has taken on the work to let us know where we've missed the mark. We hear you. We will do better. We will be back with a plan that we will be accountable to.

Inclusion. What does it mean? How do we get there? This MMF Canada Community Chat is an opportunity for us to discuss where things are at currently in the Canadian Music Industry.

What are you seeing in your community? What is already being done to create a more inclusive space? Where are we still falling short? How can you contribute? What role can MMF play?

Let's share our thoughts and ideas and support each other on this journey to build a more inclusive industry.

This session will be facilitated by Allison Outhit, a lifelong activist and a 30+ year participant in the Canadian music industry. Allison is also the founder of the Alliance for Equity in the Music Industry and VP Business Affairs at Six Shooter.

Chats are held every other Wednesday at 1:00 PM ET. Register now to secure your spot and to receive the link to access this session.

If you have topics you'd wish to hear discussed or questions to raise, you'll have the opportunity to share them during registration. We will do our best to include all that gets requested in this and/or upcoming sessions. Thank you for your feedback!
