2020 brought many changes to the live music industry - and it’s safe to say that livestreaming is here to stay! This interactive session will provide attendees with an opportunity to ask about changes to the Side Door event platform and to ask questions about launching livestream shows, followed by a technical discussion regarding audio challenges and solutions to livestreaming events from livestream specialist and audio engineer, Guillermo Subauste of Pacha Sound. This session is appropriate for self-managed artists and artist teams who are new to livestream events, and those with experience who are looking to learn how they can improve their current set up and keep connecting with fans.

SPEAKER/SPONSOR: Guillermo Subauste, Pacha Sound + Stream Tune-Up
With over 20 years of performing, producing, song writing, mixing, recording and live sound engineering around the globe, Guillermo Subauste now calls Toronto home and provides a myriad of engineering services out of his studio in Roncesvalles. Having emerged from the Peruvian punk rock scene of the early 2000s with a DIY approach, Subauste’s drive to explore and experiment brought him to work with Peruvian power-pop group Adammo, teaching and work opportunities at The Banff Centre, Recording Arts Canada, and Revolution Recording, all while providing producing, engineering and mixing services for an extensive roster of diverse artists. At the onset of COVID-19, Subauste created Stream Tune-Up - a full-service consultancy, dedicated to educating and empowering musicians to improve their live mixing abilities and host quality livestreams.
